Fellow citizens, despite national and local economic headwinds, our municipality has prioritised financial sustainability to ensure essential services continue. We remain focused on improving your services and tackling developmental needs. Our progress over the years, with you holding us accountable has seen significant improvements. While challenges remain, we’ve made headway. I thank our Council, Administration, and partners for their dedication, which has helped us achieve another unqualified audit opinion and avoid wasteful spending.

We’ve delivered tangible improvements: 176 new homes in Siyathuthuka, 333 rehabilitated homes in Argosy, the vital Sheti bridge, and resurfaced roads in Ward 1. We’ve also installed 150 solar streetlights and maintained 40km of gravel roads.

Looking forward, our commitment to better performance and clean audits is firm. With your support, we will confidently implement our plans, overcome obstacles, and build a stronger, more prosperous municipality for everyone.
